EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY (RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL) 2018 FOR Apprentice Posts

ONLINE applications are invited from interested candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentice Act 1961 in the designated trades at Divisions/Units in the jurisdiction of East Central Railway against 1898 slots. Applications complete in all respects should be submitted only ONLINE till 17:00 hrs of the closing date.

Candidates should note and take cognizance of the fact that this is only Centralised Notification for engagement of Act Apprentice under the Apprentices Act 1961 for East Central Railway’s Divisions/Units and Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway (RRC/ECR) has been nominated as nodal agency for obtaining ONLINE applications from candidates and preparation of their merit list. Merit list will be prepared Division/Unit wise and candidates must note that no centralized merit list will be formed. Candidates can submit their applications ONLINE only on RRC’s website www.rrcecr.gov.in.
After preparation of merit list, the same will be advised to respective Divisions/Units on East Central Railway. Document verification and medical examination will be held in opted Divisions /Units, as per the choice of Division/Unit as mentioned in the Candidate’s application.

Age Limit:-

• Age should be between 15 to 24
• ST/SC categories:- 5 Years
• OBC Categories:- 3 Years
• Ex-Service Men:-As per Government Rules.

Education Qualification:-The candidate must have passed Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.eNational Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training).

Selection Process:-Selection for Apprenticeship training will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification for a particular Division/Unit. The merit list will be prepared taking the average of the %age marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
For the purpose of calculation of percentage of matriculation, marks obtained by the candidates in all subjects will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or a group of subjects.

Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway as part of online application process as under-
Once the online application is complete in all respects at RRC/ECR’s website www.rrcecr.gov.in, candidates will be directed to bank payment gateway to make payment.

Once the payment is successfully done, candidates will be re-directed to RRC/ECR’s website to complete the application process and download the filled up application form.

In case the candidate tried to make payment before and come across some issues like loss of internet connection due to which the fee amount has been deducted from their Account/Debit/Credit card but still unable to download the application, please click on “ Verify Payment” button to reconfirm the same from the payment gateway.

Ex-ServiceMen:-An Ex-serviceman candidate selected under the reservation provided for them is to be placed in the appropriate category viz UR/SC/ST/OBC to which he/she belongs. Ex-servicemen, their children and children of Armed Forces Personnel will be engaged for Apprenticeship as per preference order mentioned below:-
a) Children of deceased/disabled Ex-servicemen including those killed/disabled during peace time.
b) Children of Ex-servicemen
c) Children of Serving Jawans
d) Children of Serving Officers
e) Ex-servicemen

Candidates are required to log on to www.rrcecr.gov.in provided for filling ONLINE applications and fill up the Personal details/Bio-data etc. carefully.
